讲座内容：

This paper examines the pass-through of China’s retaliatory tariffs against American products at the ffrm level during the US-China trade war period (2016-2019). A 10% increase in retaliatory duties is found to lead to a 3% decrease in American imports. Furthermore, a decline in exports to the United States and the rest of the world attributed to the rising retaliatory duties. Rich evidence shows that the rising costs of global sourcing in upstream sectors accumulate and are passed to downstream industries, thus magnifying the effects of accumulated effects of retaliatory tariffs via the input-output linkage along global production chains.

嘉宾简介：

北京大学经济学院副教授（2020至今），毕业于北京大学光华管理学院，曾工作于对外经济贸易大学（2013-2019）。主要研究领域为国际经济学、发展经济学、产业经济学和应用微观经济学。主要研究方向对外直接投资，国际贸易，贸易自由化和企业进出口。论文发表于Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, The World Economy, Review of International Economics、经济研究、管理世界、世界经济等国内外期刊。曾主持国家自科基金青年、面上项目，社科重大专项等。曾先后获得第17、18届“安子介”国际贸易研究奖。
